Speed unit in a 1920s Beacon Street block, cutting out mid bake and then coming back stone cold. A thermal cutout had tripped because the cooling vent behind it was packed with dust. He cleared it out, reset the cutout, and explained exactly what had caused it.

The baffles were rattling loose in the frame and the whole hood hummed at any speed above the first. Whoever cleaned it last had bent the mounting clips out of shape. He straightened the frame back out, fitted new clips, and it runs silently again.

Wall unit built into a tight cabinet run. The hinge had dropped so the seal no longer met the frame, and heat poured out the top. New hinges and springs, and the door shuts properly again.
